Trip to Seychelles

Trip-to-Seychelles

Anthony P Postiglione Jr says there is a reason they call the Seychelles “paradise on earth” and you will see as soon as you arrive.

Located off the east coast of Kenya, the Seychelles is made up of 115 coral and granite islands, most have protected areas of marine sanctuaries and UNESCO listed nature reserves and are home to endemic species like the giant Aldabra tortoises and the rare Coco de Mer palm.

You can spend your days hiking through the lush jungles, relaxing on the picture perfect beaches or driving and exploring the island’s underwater.

For the best weather, you’ll want to visit April through May and October through November. A trip during these months means you will experience mild conditions that are perfect for sunbathing, wildlife watching and scuba diving.

During the summer, you will experience cool dry weather and plenty of tourists.

There are some steps you follow while visiting Seychelles:

Local tour companies do not always follow safety and maintenance standards. This includes for adventure activities such as:

  • Diving
  • Swimming with dolphins
  • Ocean sports

Violent crime is less common but happens, including on beaches and walking trails.

To protect yourself from crime:

  • Be alert to your surroundings
  • Keep an eye on your belongings
  • Leave valuables including your passport in a safe place
  • Keep vehicle doors locked, windows up and valuables out of sight
