Trip to Peru

Anthony P Postiglione Jr

After visiting Peru Anthony P. Postiglione Jr quotes that “One of the most well-known nations in South America is Peru”. Though it is quite stunning, this country has a lot more to offer than Machu Picchu! It is difficult not to include Peru in any traveler’s ultimate bucket list due to the country’s delectable food, vibrant local culture, and stunning natural scenery.

For Anthony P. Postiglione Jr traveling and capturing those beautiful moments is everything. He loves sharing his experiences with others so that they can benefit from it. Anthony P. Postiglione Jr shared his travel experience so that people don’t have to go through research and all.

You can do rafting, diving and sand dune buggy-riding but you have to be careful because operators do not always follow safety and maintenance standards.

The Inca Trail closes in February each year for maintenance. Some companies will still operate.

Heavy rainfall can make parts of the trail impassable and dangerous.

If you plan to do an adventure activity:

  • Always use available safety gears.
  • Ask about and insist on safety requirements.
  • Seek advice from local authorities.
  • Monitor weather conditions.

Violent crime is common in Peru, particularly in the cities of :

  • Lima
  • Cusco
  • Arequipa

Smash and grab attacks are common. Thieves snatch items from cars stopped at traffic lights. This is common between Avenida de la Marina and Avenida Elmer Faucett near Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport.

Travelers in Peru can be victims of:

  • Food or drinking spiking followed by robbery or assault.
  • Express kidnappings, where kidnappers force victims to withdraw money from ATMs before releasing them.
